Terms of Service

Effective October 12, 2026 · Version 2026-10-12

Agreement and eligibility

These Terms govern RESALE, operated by Join Resale LLC in California, United States. By creating an account and accepting these Terms, you agree to these Terms and the Community & Prohibited Items Rules. You must be at least 18, able to enter a binding agreement, and use the service lawfully. Review the Privacy Policy to understand data handling. Contact joinresale@gmail.com with questions.

Accounts and ID review

Provide accurate account information, keep your password secure, and use only your own identity documents. Display names must be unique; do not impersonate others or evade restrictions. Notify support of unauthorized access. ID review is a limited manual check, not a background check, product authentication, age-verification guarantee, or promise that a member or transaction is safe. An administrator’s ability to post without ID review does not give that administrator an ID-reviewed badge.

Marketplace role and payments

RESALE connects buyers and sellers for local pickup of permitted items. Members arrange their own purchase or trade, inspection, payment, and meetup. RESALE does not process or hold transaction payments, provide escrow, arrange shipping, insure transactions, or offer a buyer-protection/refund program. Unless expressly identified as the seller, Join Resale LLC is not the seller or a party to the member-to-member transaction. Sellers must own or have authority to sell the item, disclose its condition and authenticity accurately, and meet applicable tax, licensing, and consumer obligations. No app fee is currently charged for arranging these transactions; any future service fees will be disclosed before they apply.

Listings, transactions, and disputes

Use accurate photographs and descriptions, list only permitted items, honor agreed arrangements, and mark unavailable items promptly. Confirm the item, price/trade, payment method, pickup time, and any return terms before meeting. See Local Pickup, Payments & Returns. No platform policy overrides rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived. Resolve transaction concerns with the other member and report suspected fraud or abuse to us. We may investigate platform misconduct but cannot promise recovery of money or goods.

Content and service permissions

You retain ownership of your content. You grant us a nonexclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, transmit, and format it as necessary to operate, secure, and moderate RESALE through our service providers. Private messages and ID documents are not licensed for public advertising. You must have the rights needed for content you upload. Do not scrape private data, bypass access controls, interfere with the service, spam users, or use the service for unlawful activity.

Moderation and appeals

We may use automated screening and human review to hold, reject, or remove listings and restrict accounts for policy violations, fraud, safety concerns, or legal requirements. We may act immediately for serious harm. Automated checks can make mistakes. You may request review at joinresale@gmail.com with the listing/account reference and relevant explanation. Do not send ID images in an appeal email. Blocking and reporting do not guarantee prevention of all contact or immediate removal.

Availability and responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, RESALE is provided as available without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation, item quality, authenticity, member conduct, or successful transactions. Members remain responsible for their conduct and representations. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or other nonwaivable obligations. We do not require arbitration or a class-action waiver under these Terms.

Ending use, changes, and governing law

You may stop using RESALE and delete your account in Account settings. We may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated violations or when required by law. Provisions that need to survive termination, such as responsibility for prior conduct, survive to the extent allowed by law. California law and applicable U.S. federal law govern these Terms, subject to mandatory protections of your jurisdiction. We will date and publish changes and provide additional notice or obtain renewed acceptance when required. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
